For the past two decades Kenny has been researching in the area of additive manufacture with applications in rapid prototyping and manufacturing and polymer engineering. In recent years, the application focus of his work has been on medical devices, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, with work supported by the EPSRC, the European Commission, Versus Arthritis, the NC3Rs and industry.
